This is one of the best 44-40 tools we've had in quite some time and is about as nice as one you might see still in the box. Overall, it has about 95% blue mixed with some brown freckles. It shows very little usage. Like most, its missing the de-capping pin. Great markings include the Winchester address along with the 1874 and 1882 patent dates. These old hand loaders were designed for reloading cartridges on the American frontier. This was the one device that made repeating rifles like the Model 1873 Winchester practical. This is a nice one!
