Hopkins and Allen Engraved Victoria Revolver |
|
This is a Victoria Revolver that, like most inexpensive revolvers of the late 19th century, was marked with a nickname sans a manufacturer marking. This one was probably named in honor of Queen Victoria. As to manufacturer, our guess is that it was probably made by Hopkins and Allen Company. The left side of the barrel is marked "PAT. Apr. 6. 1875." 22 Caliber, 7 shot cylinder, 3 1/2" barrel, Factory Engraved, nickel plated and hard rubber grips with an anchor symbol. Good working action, the bore is very dirty and needs to be cleaned. Overall condition NRA Antique Fine with 90% nickel on frame and barrel. Cylinder has 50% nickel. Hard rubber grips are in fine+ condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Item# 0973
