This is a minty example of an early Smith and Wesson Model 1-1/2, 2nd Issue Revolver. Standard nickel-plated finish with rosewood grips. 3-1/2" barrel with five-shot cylinder. Caliber is .32 rimfire. The 2nd Issue was produced from 1868-1875.
Overall condition is NRA Antique Excellent+++ to Near Mint Condition. The metal retains 98% bright shiny original nickel plating. Rosewood grips are Excellent with 90% original varnish with a little flaking along the bottom of the panels. The action functions flawlessly. Bore is Fine+ to Excellent. The barrel latches tightly to the frame. Excellent markings throughout with nice screws and pins. This is one of the best nickel-plated Smiths we've had in quite some time and it would be difficult to improve upon.
