This is S&W Double Action Pocket Revolver in 38 S&W Caliber.  Has a 3 1/4" barrel.  Antique Pre-1898 Serial number is in the 277,000 range. Scarce blued finish is 85% intact with some flaking present on the barrel and cylinder.  Straps also show a bit of loss from handling.  Still, for a blued 19th century pocket revolver, this one is exceptionally good.  Nice case colors on the hammer and trigger.  Ejector and front sight have all their original nickel present (which believe it or not, is proper for all blued pocket DA's).  The hard rubber grips are excellent...you can even read the tiny patent date down at the bottom of the left grip.  Bore is perfect...still has most of the original blue as do the chambers.   Action works perfectly.  A beautiful blued Pocket DA that's better than some we've had still in their original factory box.
