This is a nice example of an early Smith & Wesson Double Action Pocket Revolver in .32 caliber. 3" barrel, five-shot cylinder, nickel plated finish, and checkered hard rubber grips with S&W logo. The barrel rib has tiny S&W address and numerous patent dates ranging from 1865 to 1882. This one is a 4th Model which was produced from 1883-1909. The cutoff for antique vs. modern for the S&W .32 DA is approximately 209,000. This one is well under the cutoff in the 175,000 range which qualifies it as a pre-1898 antique. 100% matching numbers on frame, barrel, cylinder, barrel latch, and grips.
