This is an original double cavity iron bullet mold in .44 caliber for the Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver used during the American Civil War. Top of the sprue cutter is marked COLT'S PATENT which is partially visible. See photo. Right side of the mold is stamped "44". Overall, the metal has been cleaned up sometime in the past. It displays quite well. The conical and cylindrical cavities are in good condition. Handles are straight with no bends. Good example that would go great with a Civil War era Colt 1860 Army Revolver or Cavalry rig.
