Numbers are all matching on the barrel, cylinder, frame, and grips. Left side of the frame is marked "41 CAL". Barrel is clearly marked "COLT'S PT FA MFG CO / HARTFORD CT U.S.A."
Overall, NRA Antique Fine Plus to Excellent condition with the frame, barrel, and grip straps showing 95% original nickel plate. The cylinder has flaked to approx. 75-80% original nickel. Strong traces of fire blue on several of the screws, the trigger spring, and the back of hammer (note: sides were factory polished bright) with sides still somewhat bright. The rosewood grips are Very Good overall showing some little nicks and scratches but retain approx. 85-90% original varnish overall. Good mechanics. Good solid bore is a little frosty in places but exhibits strong rifling with no signs of any major pitting. Nice clean example of an early large frame New Line in the most desirable caliber.
