This model 1877 Double Action Revolver was built in 1892.  The Caliber is 38 Colt with a standard 4.5" barrel with ejector housing, hard rubber grips, and blued/casecolored finish.  Overall, this is in NRA Antique Very Good Plus condition with traces of original case color in protected areas of the frame with strong traces of blue on the triggerguard, cylinder flutes, and barrel.  A few of the screws still retain original fire blue.  Markings are excellent overall. Good checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt Logo.  The action on the Model 1877 is notoriously fragile and after 100+ years, its hard to find one that still functions like it should.  I'm happy to report that this is one Lightning that still works in both Single and Double action modes.
