This is a massive English Adams Revolver in scarce .50 Caliber.  Over the years, we've seen a number of Adams in .44 Caliber and only read about the .50 Cals.  Its not easy to appreciate the larger scale of this gun until you see one in person but it borders along the size of a Colt Dragoon Revolver.
