I don't know a great deal about these but I am told it is a clock that dates from the early 20th century. These were designed to be put in an automobile as the back is threaded so it can be screwed into a dashboard. It is constructed of brass which has developed a nice light patina over the years. The face is in good condition with some some light flaking near the numbers. Mechanically, the clock is not working...it will not wind which leads me to suspect it may have been wound too tightly.
