Colt .31 Caliber pocket revolver with 6" inch barrel and 6 shot cylinder. Made in 1865. Serial number is in the 272,000 range with all matching numbers on barrel, frame, triggerguard, backstrap, and cylinder. Wedge is a replacement and not marked. No cylinder scene. One line Barrel address is in very good shape and reads: ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK US AMERICA The left side of the frame is marked "COLT'S PATENT" and triggerguard reads "31 CAL". Nice strong knurling on the hammer. Overall, metal has turned to a brown patina with no silver plate remaining on the brass straps. Very Good grips with a little original varnish remaining. 4 small notches are located near the backstrap. Good mechanics.
